“Knowing oneself comes from attending with compassionate curiosity to what is happening within. ”

Ahurewa Therapy brings a warm and accepting presence to the community. We accept clients exactly as they are and collaboratively work with them to discover where they feel stuck and how to find the next step forward to reach goals. Ahurewa Therapy values the unique strengths, qualities, and experiences that each person brings to the table. We are passionate about supporting individuals struggling with grief, trauma, depression, low self-esteem, anxiety and behavioural concerns. Ahurewa Therapy’s overall counselling objective is to be present with the client in session as they build resiliency, experience healing, and acquire skills that can make the next chapter of their life meaningful. As South Asian Muslim women, we are particularly passionate about supporting women from similar backgrounds as we understand well the cultural barriers South Asian women face in talking about mental health.
