Workshops/Retreats

We offer virtual and in-person workshops and Retreats for individuals looking to deepen their understanding and build a relationship with their inner self.

Our workshops and Retreats focus on exploring and understanding the impact of life experiences (Trauma), and how those experiences may cause stress on our interpersonal relationships and mental health. We then focus on learning practical coping strategies, mindfulness practices, and grounding techniques to help in our healing journey.

Meet your Hosts

Hi I’m Ambreen, a registered social worker and psychotherapist with more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field. The essence of my practice is to gently guide you in discerning between the layers of ego and protective parts, and your true Self. Meditation is at the heart of my personal and professional healing journey. It continues to be the foundation from which I share, teach, and hold space for others on their own path of growth and resilience.

“Hi! My name is Abigail Leck, and I am a co-op student completing my field placement with Ahurewa Therapy as part of my program at Georgian College. I am Currently enrolled in the Honours Bachelor of Counselling and Psychology program and my next steps will be to continue my education by pursuing a Masters Degree in Counselling & Psychology, with an end goal of becoming a therapist, just like Ambreen! I am very passionate about supporting others through their healing journeys, learning about what makes us who we are, and how we deal with life. "

Hi! I am Madison Dawson, I have pleasure of fulfilling my student field placement for my Honours Bachelor of Counselling Psychology degree with Ahurewa Therapy. I have a growing desire to learn more about working with somatic therapy, art therapy, trauma, children/youth, families and IFS modalities. Being passionate about helping others feel empowered and supported leads me to goals of helping others navigate through their lives; on an individual and collective level to gain the skills, tools, and resources to help us as human beings with our healing journey and overall well-being. What comes next for me is a Master’s degree in social work.

What people who attended last retreat are saying

  • I took away the lesson that you can absolutely reconcile working on your inner self, while still engaging in community care. So we are not healing our self to become so healed that we isolate ourselves. The goal is to become whole so that we show up better for our communities, and they too can show up better when we are on our healing journey.

    Maha

  • I took away the beautiful reminder that when women come together, we create such uplifting energy. It was inspiring to feel that strength and positivity all around.

    Sadia

  • My take away from this retreat was that forgiving is for yourself and for you own inner peace. The way you move on after forgiving is your choice; nobody should dictate your way of forgiving.
